At Firewire Leds we believe in quality products backed by even better service. To ensure every customer has the answers they need, when they need them, we have developed a list of frequently asked questions to help. It is important to note that LED lighting is polarity sensitive. This means that if installed with the polarity backwards your lighting will not work. In this case all you need to do is reverse the positive and negative wires on your Firewire Led lighting. It is not uncommon to have wiring of different colors connected while still having the correct polarity for your LED lighting to work. 

- What does the gold or silver on the strobe controller mean?

If there is a gold paint mark or if there is no mark it means that the red wire is positive. The silver paint means that the black wire is positive. These controllers and lights can not be interchanged. Below you can see an example of what the gold and silver marking look like. It is not uncommon to have wiring of different colors connected while still having the correct polarity for your LED lighting to work.

- Why wont my LED headlights work?

Some vehicles require a resistor and some vehicles require the polarity reversed. LED lights are polarity sensitive.

 

- What do I do if my light strip falls off?

New 3M tape can be purchased through Firewire Leds. Please call our office at (855)438-4437 to order.

 

- What do I do if my wiring harness is not long enough to reach the connector?

All Firewire Led lights can be hardwired providing you make a waterproof connection and do not reverse the polarity.

 

- How do I return products?
